1) Fat-free vanilla yogurt

Who needs cooking oil when you’ve got fat-free vanilla yogurt? Substitute 6 oz. of fat-free vanilla yogurt for fat in brownies, cakes and quick breads like banana bread.

2) Whole Grain

Substitute whole-grain ingredients for a fraction of the fat. Simply replace half the amount of white flour with whole-wheat flour.

3) Oven Fry

The term oven-frying is used to describe baked foods that are usually fried. Spray no-stick cooking spray on chicken, fish and pork, dredge in an oatmeal and seasoning mix, and bake in the oven.
